With love for New Zealand

Dearest Members and Friends of the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation for World Peace, 

As an organization and as individuals the members of the Mahatma Gandhi Canadian Foundation for World Peace strive to create a world that reflects Gandhiji’s vision of peace and ahimsa. We are deeply saddened by the events this week in New Zealand. Violence of any kind is unacceptable to us but this event built as it was on deep roots of hatred is completely abhorrent. We are in the midst of the Season for Nonviolence and we rededicate ourselves to the values of love, respect, humility, and service that  are the hallmarks of this campaign. To all of our sisters and brothers who have suffered this week we extend our deepest sympathy. We hold you in our hearts and wish for the peace that is the foundation of Islam and the other great faiths and philosophies of the world.
