Themes for Week 3
By practicing nonviolence with ourselves, we begin to see how it might apply toward others. Each personal practice can be turned into a practice toward another. Affirmations are a great way to begin practicing self-forgiveness. Practice one affirmation for the next seven days:
- I am worthy of a life of joy and allow myself to accept it.
- I believe in my dreams, myself, and all that I am.
- I love myself as I am.
- I believe in my abilities and strength.
- I have made mistakes, but I will not let them define me.
- My life has meaning. What I do has meaning. My actions are meaningful.
- I am worthy of love and respect.
