Keynote Speaker: HonourableVikas Swarup
This year in honour of Mahatma Gandhi's sequicential we have a very special keynote speaker. Honourable Swarup, High Commissioner of India to Canada and world-acclaimed author and diplomat. High Commissioner Swarup is the author of the novel Q&A, the story of how a penniless waiter in Mumbai becomes the biggest quiz show winner in history. The book was translated into 43 languages and became the Oscar-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire. It won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival as well as the Golden Globe best picture.
In addition to High Commissioner Swarup's address, guests will enjoy a 3-course vegetarian meal, live music, performances, and a brief report of the activities of the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation. |
