A Winter Haiku
Shovel by the door Waits for snow to fall outside While I wait for spring. Hope Today is a day of pure hope That all those who mope Who are unable to cope That they will meet someone, Who has climbed the steep slope And left powerlessness behind And invites them to grab onto the rope Of community cooperation And pull love and hope Into their lives Applying a little soap They can then slip onward to success And never having to say ‘nope’ And just like a pope Find ways to benefit all!
